The procedure

What to expect
How Smarter Lipo works
1. Consultation
Dr. Malouf evaluates the areas of concern, discusses realistic outcomes, and confirms candidacy for tumescent liposuction.
2. Day of procedure
Treatment areas are marked. Tumescent anesthesia is slowly infiltrated — dilute lidocaine and epinephrine numb the tissue and constrict vessels.
3. Contouring
Small access incisions are used to sculpt fat with fine cannulas. The tumescent solution dramatically reduces bleeding and bruising.
4. Closure
Access incisions are so small they often heal without sutures. A compression garment is applied.
5. Go home the same day
No overnight admission. You leave in your compression garment and go home with a driver.
6. Recovery
Compression garment for 2–4 weeks. Most patients return to work in a few days. Final contour continues to refine over several months.
